The Paris architect

Set in 1942 Nazi-occupied Paris, the story follows an ambitious and apolitical architect named Lucien Bernard. He accepts a dangerous but highly profitable commission to design ingenious, invisible hiding places for Jewish citizens. While he initially takes the job purely for the money and the technical challenge of outwitting German officers, a tragic failure turns his architectural assignments into a deeply personal moral awakening. He soon transitions from a bystander into an active member of the resistance, risking his life to save others.
