Velvet

Velvet is an orphaned laundress working in a back-breaking Victorian steam laundry. Desperate for a better life, she catches the attention of Madame Savoya, a famous medium, and goes to work for her. Velvet is initially mesmerized by Madame Savoya and the fashion and opulence of her world, but she soon starts to suspect that things are not as genuine as they seem.
