The swansong of Wilbur McCrum

Set against the rugged backdrop of the American Old West, this debut novel follows the tragicomic life of Wilbur McCrum. Dealt a remarkably bad hand from childhood—marked by abandonment and sudden medical fits—Wilbur adapts by becoming a witty, albeit clumsy, ne’er-do-well. Navigating a world of colorful outlaws, questionable morals, and unexpected romance, his journey reads like a fast-paced, humorous adventure about survival on the fringes of society, written in the authentic, colorful dialogue of the frontier era.
