In this sixth entry of the acclaimed espionage series, the misfit, cast-off MI5 agents relegated to “Slough House” are forced to confront their own dark pasts and personal demons. The narrative shifts into high gear when a former adversary—the killer responsible for the death of one of their own “slow horses”—suddenly emerges from the shadows. Led by their crude but fiercely brilliant boss, Jackson Lamb, the team goes completely off-grid, navigating the snowy, unforgiving landscapes of Wales to settle old scores. Meanwhile, they must outmaneuver a lethal American mercenary and an unforgiving intelligence establishment that wouldn’t hesitate to wipe them out entirely.
