Blockbuster (Separate components and all levels)

BLOCKBUSTER by Express Publishing is a highly interactive, four-level English course designed for young learners and teenagers. Taking students from Beginner to Intermediate levels, the course develops the four language skills (reading, listening, speaking, writing) through engaging, theme-based modules.

Levels & Age Groups
The series aligns with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

– Blockbuster 1: CEFR Level A1 (Beginner) – Typically for ages 11–12
– Blockbuster 2: CEFR Level A1/A2 (Elementary) – Typically for ages 12–13
– Blockbuster 3: CEFR Level A2/B1 (Pre-Intermediate) – Typically for ages 13–14
– Blockbuster 4: CEFR Level B1/B2 (Intermediate) – Typically for ages 14–15+

Course Components
To provide a complete teaching and learning experience, the series is divided into printed and digital components for both students and teachers.

For Students:
– Student’s Book: The core textbook featuring 8 theme-based modules, authentic reading texts, cartoon strips, games, and specific Culture Corner and Curricular Cuts sections.
– Workbook & Grammar Book: Combines practice of vocabulary and reading comprehension with exhaustive grammar exercises and a grammar reference section.
– Student’s CD / Audio Material: Contains listening tasks, dialogues, and pronunciation exercises to practice at home.
– My Language Portfolio: A dedicated booklet where students can collect their work and track their language progress.
ieBook: An interactive digital application containing grammar and vocabulary exercises that act as a study partner.

For Teachers:
– Teacher’s Book: Provides interleaved Student’s Book pages, step-by-step lesson plans, answers to all exercises, and extra teaching tips.
– Class Audio CDs: Audio tracks required for classroom listening activities.
– Test Booklet: Module-by-module tests and a mid-year/final exam to assess student retention.
– Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) Software: Digital software used to project the Student’s Book onto a screen, making classroom instruction interactive.
– DVD-ROM: Contains video material, digital tasks, and extra classroom resources.
