Children of Icarus

In the walled city of Daedalum, children between the ages of 10 and 16 hope to be chosen as Icarii on Fallen Day. Being chosen means entering a massive, mysterious labyrinth to find the path to Alyssia and transform into angels. While Clara is brave, fearless, and desperate to enter the maze, her nameless best friend has always lived in her shadow. When both girls are unexpectedly chosen, they find that the labyrinth is not a holy proving ground, but a horrifying, deadly nightmare where they are instantly separated and forced to fight for survival.
