Hold the Dark

Set in a brutal, freezing, and isolated village in the Alaskan wilderness, the story begins after a mother claims three local children—including her own young son—were taken and killed by a pack of wolves. Desperate for answers, she hires Russell Core, an aging expert on wolf behavior, to hunt down the pack. However, upon his arrival, Core discovers that the true darkness does not lie within the wildlife, but within the human heart. When the boy’s deeply traumatized father returns home from the war, a horrifying cycle of vengeance and apocalyptic violence erupts across the snowy landscape, turning the hunt into a nightmare of human depravity and survival.
