Lady Friday (The Keys to the Kingdom)

In this fifth installment of the series, the young protagonist Arthur Penhaligon has already reclaimed four of the seven Keys to the universe, but his struggles are amplifying. While rival forces clash and chaotic entities seize control of other parts of the House, Arthur faces a direct challenge from Lady Friday—the Trustee representing the deadly sin of lust, which manifests as an obsession with consuming the memories and emotions of mortals. After Lady Friday abducts thousands of people from Earth—including Arthur’s own family and his close friend Leaf—Arthur must venture deep into the Middle House. He is forced to navigate a precarious web of traps and a race against rival antagonists to secure the fifth Key, all while wrestling with the terrifying reality that using this immense magic is slowly stripping away his own humanity.
