The Beloveds

The story explores the depths of extreme sibling rivalry and domestic derangement. Betty Stash is not a “Beloved”—one of those lucky people like her sister Gloria who effortlessly attract happiness, beauty, and good fortune. When Gloria unexpectedly inherits the gorgeous family estate that Betty believes is rightfully hers, Betty undergoes a determined and increasingly unhinged spiral to reclaim it. Her dark plot escalates using poisonous mushrooms, talking walls, and a strange dog.
