The Seed of Cain

This Afrofuturist, dystopian sequel follows General Arika Cobane, the leader of a worker rebellion. After a failed illegal gamble for freedom leaves her co-conspirator executed and her rank stripped, she awakens to find a charismatic traitor, Kira Swan, leading the Kongo. Suffocated by blackouts and losing control, Arika must venture into the deadly Obi Forest to seek treatment, reclaim her influence, and grasp an ancient power to save her people.
