Turn Of The Screw

A young, inexperienced governess takes a job at a remote countryside estate to look after two recently orphaned siblings, Miles and Flora. While the children initially appear angelic and perfect, the household’s peaceful atmosphere quickly shifts when the governess begins spotting the figures of two former employees—both of whom are dead. Convinced that these malevolent ghosts are corrupting the children, she desperately fights to protect them. The story acts as a psychological puzzle, leaving the reader to decide if the estate is genuinely haunted or if the horrors are simply a product of the governess’s unraveling mind.
