Women of the Castle

Set at the end of World War II, the story follows Marianne von Lingenfels, the widow of a German resister. She returns to a crumbling Bavarian castle and dedicates herself to fulfilling a promise to rescue and protect the wives and children of her husband’s executed co-conspirators. She brings together a makeshift family, but deep secrets and conflicting political pasts challenge their survival and unity.
