Tomorrow There Will Be Apricots

Lorca is a neglected, troubled teenager struggling to earn the attention and affection of her distant, chef mother. Facing the threat of being sent away to boarding school, Lorca becomes determined to recreate an obscure, legendary Iraqi dish her mother once fell in love with, hoping it will mend their bond. Her search for the recipe leads her to Victoria, an elderly Iraqi-Jewish widow who gives cooking lessons while quietly mourning her late husband and longing for the daughter they surrendered for adoption decades earlier. As the two cook together, they form an unexpected, healing connection, building a chosen family out of shared grief, secrets, and heritage.
