Be Frank with Me

Alice Whitley is sent by a publishing house to the Bel Air mansion of Mimi Banning—a reclusive, once-famous author who is broke and desperately needs to finish her highly anticipated comeback novel. However, instead of just helping with the manuscript, Alice essentially becomes a full-time caretaker and companion to Mimi’s eccentric, brilliant, and deeply unique nine-year-old son, Frank. Frank has no interest in fitting in with other kids; he dresses exclusively like a 1930s movie star and possesses a razor-sharp wit. As Alice navigates the chaotic household and bonds with Frank, she finds herself uncovering the family’s deep-seated secrets while trying to ensure Mimi actually delivers her book.
