Homesick

This book is a linked collection of short stories that traces the lives of Preethi, Nil, Lolly, Rohan, and their tightly knotted Sri Lankan families living in south London. Moving from a 1982 New Year’s Eve party to a family funeral—spanning growing pains, the 7/7 bombings, and family traditions—the narrative explores what it truly means to integrate, belong, and find the meaning of “home” as an immigrant in Britain.
