Melmoth

Set in wintertime Prague, the story follows a translator named Helen Franklin. She encounters her friend Karel, who has come into possession of a mysterious old manuscript. The text uncovers a centuries-old legend about Melmoth, a lonely, dark-robed woman who roams the earth to find and watch those guilty of silent complicity or cowardice in history’s darkest moments.
