Vet in a Spin

This book is the sixth installment in the beloved memoirs of country veterinarian James Herriot. Set against the backdrop of World War II, the story follows Herriot as he steps away from his comfortable countryside practice and trades his signature veterinary boots for an RAF flight jacket. As he struggles through training inside the cramped cockpit of a Tiger Moth trainer plane, he feels entirely out of his element. Throughout the chaos of wartime service, his thoughts constantly drift back to the idyllic Yorkshire Dales, where he longs to reunite with his wife, his young son, his eccentric veterinary partners, and the colorful local farmers and animals he left behind.
